Usability Services
Usability is an important factor to consider when creating a new software application or website. How your end users interact with and respond to it will determine how successful and well received it will be. By making complicated tasks easier, navigation more intuitive, and the experience more rewarding you can move closer to reaching your overall business goals- from increased sales, leads, and memberships to higher revenues, lower support costs, and and better returns.
Softerware Consulting works with you to determine the best strategy for increasing the usability of your software application or website. Read about different deliverables and how each one contributes to the strategy we develop together.
Usability test plan
The usability test plan outlines the usability goals of the system, how the system will be tested, with whom, and what scenarios will be used. The plan acts as a guideline and includes participant profiles, testing facility, and data collection methods.
Conducting a usability test
Conducting a usability test can bring positive results to your project and business goals. Softerware can manage this process from start to finish.
What is usability?
Two international standards define usability and human-centered design. These are:
ISO 9241-11, which states that [usability refers to] the extent to which a product can be used by specified users to achieve specified goals with effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction in a specified context of user.
ISO 13407, which states that “Human-centered design is characterized by: the active involvement of users and a clear understanding of user and task requirements; an appropriate allocation of function between users and technology; the iteration of design solutions; multi-disciplinary design.”
