I worked with a team of three other IAs and we were responsible for designing site navigation, ensuring usability, writing requirements, acting as a translator between client needs and developers. The agency-based model meant that I was working on multiple projects at one time and managing multiple deliverables.
My responsibilities included:
- Create usability goals and test plans for the engagement
- Develop low-fidelity wireframes for client reviews and testing
- Design hi-fidelity wireframes using Fireworks
- Occasionally create html and css files to be used by engineering for the application front-end
- Conduct heuristic reviews of screens and workflows to improve usability and inform the discover process
- Lean usability review meetings of screens and functionality for a given client engagement
